Raised in a home where wholesome, deliciously prepared food was a given, I have always cooked and baked my way through life's ups and downs with the firm belief that food should not only nourish the body, but your soul and senses too. Whether it's for family or friends, a simple meal or a banquet, I believe that food made with love and care tastes all the more delicious.

Most of my working life has been within the fascinating world of fashion, immersed in beautiful yarns, beads, ribbons, trimmings and fabric, and whilst I still loved this glamorous backdrop, I longed to find a way of combining that passion and creativity with my love of food. So, on a friend's advice, I enrolled on a sugar craft course, fell in love all over again, and Sugar Lane was born! I get so much enjoyment and satisfaction from creating each commission from scratch, from the design to the baking, embellishing each item with the same care and attention to detail that a piece of fine couture clothing would receive. It's such a delight working with people to produce something individual to help make their day extra special.
